Final Training Objectives

• Reviewed the position of current parking management policies in Indonesia, whether they are in line with the principles of sustainable parking management

• Discussed on different parking strategies including on-street and off-street parking

• Understood private-sector involvement processes, based on the experience of Jakarta (from site-visit)

Target Group

The training course is designed for management level officials (minimum echelon 3) such as:

• City’s planning agency (BAPPEDA)

• Transport agency (Dinas Perhubungan)

• National Governments: Ministry of Planning and Development (Bappenas) and Ministry of Transport


The training includes brainstorming, experience sharing, working groups, site-visits, and lectures both by national and international experts. Every participant will be provided with toolkits, related documents and job aids


To equip local government officials in Indonesia with technical knowledge and different strategies on parking management and transport demand management. It can be complemented, in modular form, with any of the other courses.
