Daniel Moser’s motivation to foster innovation and expand sustainable urban mobility initiatives internationally has led him to his current position as Management Head of the TUMI. By gaining international working experience in companies and NGOs of all scales, in Brazil with the Terramar Institute, Bangladesh with the Grameen Bank and in Belgium with ThyssenKrupp, Daniel strengthened his inter-cultural competence and the ability to renovate management projects in diverse contexts. These capacities were tested, and confirmed, when he successfully founded his own start-up in Project Design and Market Research. Most recently, Daniel led the ‘Mobility and Transport’ at Greenpeace, focusing on smart mobility solutions, livability and the sharing economy.

Verena Flues gained a degree in Political Science and specialization in Environmental Politics from the University Sciences Po in Paris and National Autonomous University in Mexico City. She gained valuable experience in the fields of waste, energy and biodiversity conservation at the German Ministry for the Environment and different civil society organizations. As an advisor focusing on cycling, public transport and transport budget allocation at Greenpeace Mexico, she gained the enthusiasm for sustainable urban mobility that continues to drive her work within the TUMI Team today. Since joining the TUMI team in April 2017, Verena has contributed to its capacity development and utilized her intercultural, language and didactical skills to strengthen its methodological approach. In her free time, she is actively engaged in social movements for the fossil-fuel phase-out.

Martin Schäfer

Martin Schäfer

Transport Policy Advisor

Educated as an economist, geographer and mobility expert in Germany, Romania and France, Martin Schäfer gained specific experience in international cooperation working for KfW Development Bank and their urban mobility portfolios in Frankfurt and India. His interest in urban mobility led him to Germany’s capital where he worked as a consultant for companies and governments to bridge the gap between transport systems and climate change. His current role within the TUMI upon this knowledge to contribute to electric bus mobility and integration. Martin’s support to the TUMI and its partners in knowledge sharing of lessons learnt and best practice is a valuable asset to the team’s capacity building and international exchange objectives.

Linus Platzer

Linus Platzer

Transport Policy Advisor

Eager to actively shape the transformative issues of our time, Linus Platzer has studied and worked at the intersection of urban social systems, climate change, and mobility. He graduated with a dual bachelor’s from the universities of Muenster and Twente, and received a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University, focusing on energy and sustainability policy. Before joining the TUMI team in Fall 2018, he gained experience at several NGOs, research institutions and local governments in Germany, USA, Argentina, and South Korea. Linus brings in strategic thinking and awareness for organizational sustainability to contribute to the exciting future of mobility. He is passionate about moving people towards human-scale and effective institutional solutions for a sustainable future, of which biking and sharing are just two daily exercises.
