The 15-Minute City

As an increasing number of cities are facing severe consequences of air pollution, traffic and noise pollution, urban decision makers continuously look for ways to change mobility for the benefit of people and nature. Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo sees the concept of “the 15-minute city” as the ideal approach to replace the dependency on cars in inhabitants’ everyday life by promoting livable neighborhoods where inhabitants can reach everything important by bike from their homes in 15 minutes.
