Established in 1966, it is owned by 67 members—48 from the region. In 2017, ADB operations totaled $32.2 billion, including $11.9 billion in cofinancing.
Jamie Leather is the Chief of the Transport Sector Group at the Asian Development Bank. Mr. Leather has 30 years of experience in transport, and over 25 years of experience working internationally, primarily covering the Asian region. Mr. Leather leads ADBs transport sector operations and overseas the strategic direction of ADBs knowledge, technical and financial support to its developing member countries and partners. Mr. Leather obtained his master of science in transport planning and engineering from the Institute of Transport Studies, Leeds University (UK) and a bachelor of arts in human geography also from Leeds University.
