Build capacity to define good practice and prioritise the needs of pedestrians and cyclists in transport policy, planning and investment.
Build capacity on approaches to inclusive climate resilient transport planning
Encourage peer learning on inclusive policy, planning and investment for active mobility and road safety and the needs of vulnerable groups.
Support African government decision makers on what they can do within 5 years for the greatest positive impact for pedestrians and cyclists.
Seek commitment from national and city government partners across all sub-regions of Africa to sign up to a road map for walking and cycling investment - to achieve within the next five years.
Identify opportunities (within government and from donors and banks) for funding and committing to walking and cycling.
Show case available guidance and tools to support prioritisation of walking and cycling
