Better Data, Better Transport in Guadalajara, Mexico

Scroll Down

The challenge

With the multitude of public transport options, there exists a lack of access to useful and reliable information for the inhabitants of the greater Guadalajara during their 11,523,641 daily trips. This is due to the multitude of available public transport options and their lack of harmonization in providing data to IMEPLAN.

The pilot

The pilot will provide options for trip planning to users facing various contingencies in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara and test it in various workshops. The project aims at processing of data from different service providers to get as up-to date information as possible about the status of the transport system in the metro of Guadalajara, unified presentation of the processed transport data through a live interface (e.g. live data feed).
